Am Deepika, am a Nutritionist and founder of Live Food Farmacy.

I’m so happy and grateful that you’re here sharing your time and energy with me and our amazing community of like minded people. I believe food as medicine and a clean diet and life style change can do amazing things to your body.

And this is not just my belief or am saying just because that am from a nutritional background but also I applied the science of nutrition and life style changes to myself from the age of 18. And you know I was in a massive nutrient deficiency such as protein , b vitamins and iron and that terribly affected my overall health and appearance. The skin, hair, body even my emotional and mental function was not like this before. I had a very brittle, dry and thin hair along with a very dry skin with hormonal imbalance. But thankfully the right diet and life style changes helped me to transform myself to a healthier me today. The story is little big so am going to share some important information about the power of food as medicine. By learning the science of nutrition and honoring the fundamental pillars of our health(mental, emotional, spiritual), we design a mindful way of eating and living that’s sustainable, aligned and joyful.

Nutrition can affect the human body’s systems dramatically because food is not just calories , food is an information to your body. Knowing the science behind the field allows us to make evidence based recommendations to create a known physiological effect. What you eat literally controls almost every function of your body and mind.

 

Food connects us to one another and to our bodies. Food can reinvigorate our health , bring families together, restore vibrant communities, it can improve the economy and the environment , reduce pollution, help our kids get better grades and avoid eating disorders, obesity and drug abuse.
